How it works

From yes to funded.

What it handles

The four things that kill these deals.

Buying off the street is the highest-gross way to source a car and the hardest. Almost all of the difficulty lands in the same four places.

You're buying from a stranger.

The seller passes a license check and a live selfie, and the verified identity is matched to the name on the title — so the person signing is the person who owns the car. Every result is stamped on the deal record.

Most of these cars still have a loan.

With the seller's permission the loan is looked up and the collateral matched to the VIN, alongside a payoff statement. Funds route to the lienholder and the release is tracked. If the seller owes more than the car is worth, their contribution is collected first — you're never fronting the shortfall.

The paperwork usually means a second trip.

Bill of sale, odometer statement, power of attorney, lien release authorization and lien release letter generate for the state the car is in, pre-filled from what's already verified, and get signed on a phone in a driveway.

The money has to actually move.

Pay from your funded DealNow Pay account and the seller has it in seconds at most banks, weekends included. Or pay the lender or the seller your own way and record how you paid it — either path leaves one complete file.

How a deal ends

Money sent, same sitting.

The payoff goes to the lienholder and the balance lands in the seller's own bank account — nights, weekends and holidays included. No cashier's check, no trip to the bank, no "come back Monday."
